Description

Deliciously crispy shrimp coated in a sweet and spicy bang bang sauce, made effortlessly in an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk together and set aside.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third. Dip each shrimp first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat in panko.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and arrange the breaded shrimp in the basket. Lightly spray with cooking oil. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Toss the cooked shrimp in the bang bang sauce and serve on a bed of lettuce.

Notes

Use fresh or thawed shrimp for best results. Adjust the Sriracha for spiciness as desired.
