Description
Chewy, buttery apple brownies with cinnamon and brown sugar — the perfect easy fall dessert for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 medium apples, peeled and diced
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. Whisk butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
4. Stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until combined.
5. Fold in apples and walnuts.
6. Bake 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
7. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
Serve with caramel drizzle or vanilla ice cream. Store 3–4 days in an airtight container or freeze up to 2 months.
