- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 cups oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth, then add oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- If desired, stir in chocolate chips or nuts until evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for sweetness. Cool thoroughly before cutting for best results.
