Description

A wholesome, easy-to-make snack that combines ripe bananas, oats, and nut butter for a deliciously chewy treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth, then add oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  3. If desired, stir in chocolate chips or nuts until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for sweetness. Cool thoroughly before cutting for best results.
