  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 23 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 500 grams lean beef mince
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Cheese (dairy-free or regular)
  • Pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice (from the jar of pickles)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spice Mix: Mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Cook the Potatoes: Wash and cut the potatoes into chips, toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the spice mix. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 30-40 minutes until crispy.
  3. Cook the Beef Mince: Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan, add minced beef, and cook until browned. Add the rest of the spice mix and cook until moisture evaporates.
  4. Make the Burger Sauce: Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle juice in a small bowl.
  5. Assemble the Bowls: Divide crispy potato chips into bowls, add shredded lettuce, cooked beef, cheese, and pickle slices. Drizzle with burger sauce.
