Description
A comforting and creamy pasta dish that combines the flavors of cheeseburgers with pasta, perfect for busy families.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
- 1 pound ground beef (can substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
- 6 slices beef bacon or turkey bacon (cooked and crispy)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook your pasta by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once it’s bubbling, toss in your pasta. Cook according to package directions until al dente, about 7-9 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain and rinse with cool water.
- Sauté the ground beef (or turkey/chicken) in the same pot over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks. Stir in the crispy bacon slices.
- Create the creamy sauce by lowering the heat, adding cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until the cream cheese melts. Gradually add reserved pasta water to create a creamy sauce, then gently fold in the cooked pasta and cheese.
Notes
For added flavor, you can include fresh garlic and onion or your choice of vegetables. This dish can be adapted for various dietary needs.
