Description
Warm and gooey mozzarella stuffed into soft rolls, topped with garlicky herb butter for an irresistible treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of bread dough
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the bread dough into a flat sheet and cut it into small squares, about 3-4 inches each.
- Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center of each square. Gather the corners of the dough over the cheese and pinch them together to seal.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Brush this garlic herb butter over each stuffed roll.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool for a couple of minutes before serving warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding red pepper flakes to the garlic butter. You can also experiment with different types of cheese or add fillings like olives or sun-dried tomatoes.
