  • 2 cans green beans, drained (14.5 ounces each)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 ounces)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup 2% milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 ounces French fried onions

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add the cubed chicken, and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Prepare the sauce: Lower heat, stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and ground black pepper until creamy.
  3. Fold in the drained green beans and half of the shredded cheddar cheese, mixing until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish, top with remaining cheddar cheese, and a layer of French fried onions. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
