- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the all-purpose flour and powdered sugar in a medium-sized bowl.
- Cut in the softened butter until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
- Whisk together granulated sugar and eggs in another bowl until smooth.
- Add lemon juice, lemon zest, baking powder, and salt; stir until blended.
- Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until filling is set.
- Cool to room temperature, then dust with powdered sugar before cutting into squares.
Notes
For better flavor, use fresh lemon juice and unsalted butter. Chill before cutting for cleaner slices.
