A simple and comforting strawberry dump cake that combines fresh or frozen strawberries with a buttery cake crust, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Wash and hull fresh strawberries, or measure frozen strawberries directly.
- In a bowl, mix strawberries with granulated sugar and vanilla extract. Let sit for about 10-15 minutes.
- Spread strawberry mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top; drizzle with melted butter. Optionally sprinkle with salt and baking powder.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute butter with applesauce or coconut oil. You can also use other fruits like peaches or blueberries for variations.
