Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic powder (to taste)
  • Smoked paprika (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes until browned and tender, then remove from the skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring continuously. Once simmering, add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
  3. Add cooked tortellini and seared steak to the sauce, stirring gently to combine. Optionally add red pepper flakes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Keep the steak slightly rare for best tenderness and use freshly grated Parmesan for optimal flavor.
