Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage (or substitute with beef, chicken, or venison)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the Italian sausage until browned and cooked through, draining any excess fat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add Italian seasoning, bringing to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked rigatoni into the sauce until well coated, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Allow the sauce to simmer for best flavor; leftover rigatoni can be refrigerated and reheated.
