- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 chicken sausages, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausages and brown on all sides for about 4-5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add orzo and chicken broth to the skillet; bring to a gentle simmer. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, then toss in the broccoli florets.
- Cover the skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and most liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in grated parmesan until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning, and serve warm.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add broth when reheating to restore creaminess.
