- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
- ½ cup salsa
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 large flour tortillas (burrito-size)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for brushing/frying)
Instructions
- Cook the beef & onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned and tender. Drain excess grease, then stir in garlic, taco seasoning, and salsa. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Assemble each tortilla with refried beans, beef mixture, and cheese. Fold and roll tightly.
- Cook by either baking at 400°F for 18-20 minutes or frying in oil until golden and crispy, resting for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can swap the ground beef for ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option. Experiment with different cheeses for varying flavors.
