- 1 head of broccoli
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the head of broccoli and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool slightly.
- Smash the cooled broccoli pieces on a clean surface until about ½ inch thick.
- Combine cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Coat the smashed broccoli pieces in the mixture.
- Place the coated pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet, drizzling with olive oil. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
Notes
Feel free to adjust seasonings to taste. Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure crispiness.
