Description

A fun and healthy twist on snacking, these Crispy Smashed Broccoli Chips are light, crispy, and a perfect alternative to traditional chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 head of broccoli
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the head of broccoli and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool slightly.
  2. Smash the cooled broccoli pieces on a clean surface until about ½ inch thick.
  3. Combine cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Coat the smashed broccoli pieces in the mixture.
  4. Place the coated pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet, drizzling with olive oil. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
