Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare your dredging stations: one with the bread crumbs mixed with half of the Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs and milk; and a third with flour.
  2. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Press down to ensure breadcrumbs stick.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a baking dish. Mix remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and garlic, and sprinkle over the chicken. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbling.

Notes

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking to retain juiciness. For added flavor, squeeze fresh lemon juice before serving.
