Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Let the batter rest for a few minutes while you heat the oil in a deep pan over medium heat to about 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm before serving.
