Description

Delightful apple dumplings wrapped in flaky crescent dough and soaked in a sweet syrup, perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven warms up, peel and core the apples, then cut them into quarters.
  2. Take each apple quarter and wrap it snugly in the dough, placing them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan, then stir in the sugar, water, and cinnamon until combined. Pour this mixture over the wrapped apples in the baking dish.
  4. Bake for about 35-40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent treat. Can be made ahead of time.
