- 2 overripe bananas
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- Mash the overripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Add the melted butter and mix until combined. Stir in the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips or other add-ins.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
