A comforting and simple beef and noodle dish perfect for busy weeknights, evoking nostalgia and warmth.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups egg noodles (not cooked)
  • 1 pound ground beef (lean)
  • 1 onion (cut up)
  • 23 garlic cloves (cut tiny)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian spices
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the ground beef and onions over high heat, breaking the beef apart until browned, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian spices. Sprinkle in flour, stir, and cook for 2 more minutes. Slowly pour in beef stock and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Mix in the cooked noodles and season to taste.

Notes

Feel free to substitute whole wheat noodles or lean turkey. Add mushrooms or bell peppers for a flavor twist.
