Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, blending well each time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Fold in flour, salt, lemon juice, and lemon zest until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth and spread over cooled brownies.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Allow brownies to cool completely before glazing. You can also store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
