Description

A comforting dish bringing warmth with tender chicken thighs simmered in a creamy gravy, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and brown for about 5 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Sprinkle in flour and stir, cooking for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, stirring until smooth. Bring to a low simmer.
  5. Nestle the chicken back into the gravy, cover, and simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Use fresh chicken and good-quality broth for enhanced flavor. Adjust the thickness of the gravy according to your preference.
