These Golden Rose Balls are sweet, tender balls of dough soaked in warm sugar syrup, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 cup milk powder
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/4 cup milk (or as needed)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine the milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the ghee and rub it into the dry ingredients until crumbly.
- Gradually pour in the milk, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water; bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in cardamom powder; set aside to cool.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Roll small portions of dough into balls the size of golf balls.
- Fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Soak fried balls in warm sugar syrup for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider air frying instead of deep frying.
