An easy and delicious recipe for Ground Beef and Broccoli that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (or chicken thigh for a lighter option)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (or substitute with a splash of chicken broth)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes, until browned.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
Notes
Don’t overcook the broccoli to keep it bright and crunchy. Adjust the sauce to your taste, and serve over fluffy rice.
