Description

An easy and delicious recipe for Ground Beef and Broccoli that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or chicken thigh for a lighter option)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (or substitute with a splash of chicken broth)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Sauté for about 5-6 minutes, until browned.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.

Notes

Don’t overcook the broccoli to keep it bright and crunchy. Adjust the sauce to your taste, and serve over fluffy rice.
