Ingredients

  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced cooked chicken or turkey bacon
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, cheddar cheese, chicken or turkey bacon, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  4. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Let it rest for five minutes before garnishing with green onions and serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, omit the meat and add favorite veggies. Can be made ahead of time and refrigerated overnight before baking.
