- 2 cups applesauce
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine applesauce, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix whole wheat flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in optional walnuts if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or a week in the fridge. Also, freezes well for up to three months.
