Description

Delicious and fluffy apple fritter bites that are easy to make and perfect for cozy mornings or snack time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup apples, peeled and diced
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Prepare the wet ingredients: Whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  3. Combine wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently. Fold in diced apples.
  4. Fry the fritters: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Finish with powdered sugar: Dust with powdered sugar while warm, if desired.

Notes

Keep oil at the right temperature for even cooking. Don’t overmix the batter to avoid tough fritters.
