Description

Deliciously creamy jalapeño poppers that combine spicy jalapeños, rich cheese filling, and crispy bacon.


Ingredients

  • 12 fresh jalapeños
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices of bacon (or turkey bacon for a lighter option)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: toothpicks for securing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes until bacon is crispy and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispy bacon, consider pre-cooking it for a few minutes. They can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
