Description
A comforting and delicious Keto-friendly casserole made with ground beef and green beans, enveloped in a creamy, cheesy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or substitute with chicken thighs or beef roast)
- 2 cups green beans (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (use cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). While that’s heating, warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.
- Brown the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and uniformly cooked, draining excess fat if necessary.
- Combine the cooked beef and onion mixture with green beans, cream, and beef broth in a baking dish. Stir gently and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden.
Notes
Feel free to modify the recipe by adding other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms. For a dairy-free option, replace cream with coconut milk.
