Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free version)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown, or quinoa)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic, ginger, and red chili flakes. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is glossy.
  4. Serve over prepared rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

You can swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a lighter version. Customize spice levels to taste.
