Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef (or substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free version)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown, or quinoa)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic, ginger, and red chili flakes. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is glossy.
- Serve over prepared rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
You can swap ground beef for turkey or chicken for a lighter version. Customize spice levels to taste.
