  • 1 cup macaroni
  • 2 cups cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs (like parsley or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked macaroni, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour half of the meat mixture into a greased casserole dish. Layer half of the cheese on top, then add the remaining meat mixture, finishing with the rest of the cheese. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
