- 2 pounds ground beef (80/20 or 90/10)
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the chopped onions in a small skillet over medium heat until translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Pour the milk over the breadcrumbs in a large bowl and let them soak.
- Add the sautéed onions to the bowl, along with ground beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the ingredients gently with your hands until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 8 small loaves and place them on a baking tray fitted with a rack.
- Whisk together brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard to create the glaze.
- Brush half of the glaze over the mini meatloaves and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, brush on remaining glaze, and bake for another 10 minutes.
