  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)
  • ½ cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat and cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan, cooking until fragrant.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, hoisin sauce, and red pepper flakes. Pour into the pan and stir.
  5. Add the cornstarch slurry, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Toss the cooked noodles in the pan, mixing until well coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve warm.
