Description
A cozy and comforting meatloaf flavored with onion soup mix, perfect for family gatherings and busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef (or ground turkey or lean chicken)
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (whole grain for a healthier version)
- ½ cup milk (or non-dairy substitute like almond milk)
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup ketchup (or barbecue sauce)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the ground beef, onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, and ketchup in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish. Bake for about 60 minutes until the temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Rest for 10 minutes before slicing to maintain juiciness.
Notes
Don’t overmix your ingredients to avoid a dense loaf. Use a meat thermometer for best results. Customize with cheese or spices if desired.
