Instructions
- Start by slicing the banana into thick rounds, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a medium-sized skillet, add the coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium-high flame until bubbling.
- Add the banana slices, cooking for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden.
- Toast the bread slices to your liking and spread a generous layer of peanut butter over each slice.
- Top with the caramelized banana slices and a sprinkle of coconut shreds, then serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use ripe bananas with brown spots for caramelization. This dish can be customized with various nuts, seeds, or even swapped for different types of nut butter.
