Description

A delightful mix of creamy, savory, and slightly sweet flavors, this Pumpkin Whipped Feta Dip is perfect for fall gatherings and easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz block of feta cheese, drained from brine (around 220 grams)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
  • 12 Tbsp honey (plus more to serve)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or 2 tsp fresh thyme)
  • Black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • Fresh thyme (for garnish)
  • Chopped walnuts (optional; raw or toasted)
  • Extra honey drizzle
  • Crusty, toasted bread (like sourdough or baguette)
  • Crackers

Instructions

  1. Make the whipped feta by adding the feta cheese and Greek yogurt to a food processor. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  2. Add the pumpkin puree, 1 or 2 tablespoons of honey, thyme, and black pepper. Blend again until well combined.
  3. Transfer the whipped feta to the fridge and chill (covered) for 30-60 minutes.
  4. When ready to serve, transfer the whipped feta to a large bowl. Garnish with chopped walnuts, fresh thyme, an extra drizzle of honey, and more black pepper.
  5. Serve with crusty toasted bread or crackers for dipping.

Notes

For a thicker dip, use full-fat feta cheese. Adjust honey sweetness to taste. Can be made a day in advance.
