Description
Rich, fudgy red velvet brownies infused with chocolate and topped with white chocolate; a delightful treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- ½ tablespoon red gel food coloring
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine melted butter and chopped chocolate and heat in 30-second increments until smooth.
- Add granulated sugar to the melted mixture and mix until combined. Then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract, white vinegar, and food coloring.
- In a separate bowl, sift the cocoa powder, flour, and salt together. Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. If desired, fold in white chocolate chips into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares and drizzling with melted white chocolate if desired.
Notes
For variations, consider adding nuts, mint extract, or a cream cheese swirl. Ensure brownies cool completely before slicing for best results.
