- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, softened butter, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon until it resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve half for topping and press the rest into the bottom of the dish.
- Mix sliced apples with brown sugar and vanilla extract, then spread evenly over the crust.
- Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the apples and sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
Allow bars to cool completely for easier slicing. They taste even better the next day!
