Description
Spooky Spiderweb Deviled Eggs are a festive Halloween twist on the classic appetizer, featuring a creamy filling, spiderweb design, and olive spiders for decoration.
Ingredients
6 hard-boiled eggs
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Black olives (for decoration)
Olive oil (for spiderweb effect)
Paprika (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half and scoop out the yolks into a bowl.
2. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
3. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
4. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil in a circular pattern on top of the yolk mixture.
5. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center to the edges, creating a spiderweb design.
6. Slice black olives to create spider shapes and place them on top.
7. Sprinkle with paprika for a finishing touch.
8. Serve chilled.
Notes
Serve on a platter as part of a Halloween snack spread.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Best enjoyed fresh, as the design may fade over time.
Hard-boil eggs properly for easier slicing.
For extra fun, tint the yolk mixture with food coloring.
Seaweed can be used as an alternative to olives for decoration.
Try adding diced pickles, beef bacon bits, or using cream cheese instead of mayonnaise for variations.
