Description
A delightful cheesecake that combines the creamy richness of cheesecake with a crispy churro-like crust, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough or sheets
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small bowl, mix ground cinnamon and granulated sugar. Unroll crescent roll dough into two rectangles, pressing seams together into a large sheet.
- Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Place the dough into a greased 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then add the egg and vanilla, stirring until combined. Pour cheesecake batter into prepared crust and smooth.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the center is set but slightly jiggly; turn off oven and crack the door for an hour to cool gradually. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother filling. Consider a water bath for a creamier texture, and refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
