Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix
Eggs (per cake mix instructions)
Water (per cake mix instructions)
Oil (per cake mix instructions)
Green food coloring
Whipped cream
Black sprinkles
Plastic spiders (for decoration)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and prepare chocolate cake mix according to package instructions with eggs, water, and oil. Stir in a few drops of green food coloring.
2. Bake in a greased baking dish for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
3. Crumble the cooled cake into bite-sized pieces.
4. In jars, layer crumbled cake and whipped cream until full.
5. Top with black sprinkles and add a plastic spider for decoration.
6. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
Notes
Store in refrigerator with lids on for 3–4 days; serve chilled.
Use different food colors for a rainbow effect or substitute with red velvet or vanilla cake.
