Description
A flavorful and easy-to-make comfort food dish, featuring crispy chicken tenderloins coated in panko breadcrumbs and served with a spicy bang bang sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken tenderloins
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup flour
- Oil for frying (about 2 cups)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the chicken tenderloins with salt and pepper; let sit for 10 minutes.
- Set up your breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs in three separate shallow dishes.
- Dredge each chicken tenderloin in flour, dip in eggs, and then roll in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Transfer cooked chicken to a plate lined with paper towels.
- Meanwhile, prepare the bang bang sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider baking the breaded chicken at 400°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
