Ingredients

  • 1 package of brownie mix (follow additional ingredients as directed on the package)
  • 24 ounces (three 8-ounce packages) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling on top)
  • Whipped cream (for garnishing)
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix the brownie batter according to package instructions and pour into the prepared pan. Bake as directed and cool completely.
  3. Lower the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C). Beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth, then add vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and heavy cream until lump-free.
  4. Pour cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie layer and swirl half the caramel sauce into the cheesecake.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until the edges are set and the center jiggles slightly. Let cool in the oven for an hour, then chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Serve topped with whipped cream, additional caramel, and chocolate shavings.

Notes

Allow the cheesecake to chill overnight for enhanced flavor and texture. Don’t overbake to prevent cracks.
