Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
4 cups beef broth
1 cup uncooked rice
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
3. Add ground beef or turkey, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned, 5-7 minutes.
4. Stir in chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, beef broth, uncooked rice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 30-40 minutes, until rice is tender and cabbage is soft.
6. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
