Description
A cozy and comforting dish of bowtie pasta in a creamy Cajun sauce with spiced ground beef.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup Alfredo sauce
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into small bits. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Lower the heat and stir in cream cheese and Alfredo sauce until well combined and creamy.
- Fold in cooked bowtie pasta, tossing gently until evenly coated. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For lighter options, substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken, and use Neufchâtel cheese for cream cheese. You can also add veggies for extra nutrients.
