- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 4 cups frozen French fries
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: Pickles, Mustard, Ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk; season with salt and pepper.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the frozen French fries as the base.
- Pour the beef mixture over the fries and spread it evenly.
- Top with remaining French fries and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the fries are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving with your choice of toppings.
