A comforting and easy-to-make casserole that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger with crispy French fries, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 cups frozen French fries
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: Pickles, Mustard, Ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk; season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the frozen French fries as the base.
  5. Pour the beef mixture over the fries and spread it evenly.
  6. Top with remaining French fries and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the fries are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving with your choice of toppings.
