- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups frozen hashbrowns
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess grease.
- In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
- Add the cooked beef and onions along with the frozen hashbrowns to your creamy mixture, stirring until everything is well combined. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and top it with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Feel free to substitute the ground beef with ground chicken or turkey and use a homemade version of cream of mushroom soup for healthier options. Add extra veggies for more nutrition.
