Description

Delightful burritos filled with crispy tater tots, melty cheese, and seasoned ground beef, perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or substitute with ground turkey or plant-based alternative)
  • 2 cups frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup Taco Bell chipotle sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: Diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and follow the package instructions to cook the frozen tater tots until golden and crispy.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef (or chosen substitute) and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes, then drain excess grease.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef and crispy tater tots. Stir in the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses until well mixed.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave for 10-15 seconds. Spoon the filling into each tortilla, drizzle with chipotle sauce, and add sour cream. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly.
  5. Place the burritos seam-side down in a baking dish. Sprinkle additional cheese on top and bake in a preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Garnish with optional toppings and serve hot with extra sour cream and chipotle sauce on the side.

Notes

Pre-cook the tater tots for ideal texture and avoid overfilling tortillas to maintain shape. Customize sauces and toppings to suit your preferences.
