- 1–1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1–1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 large apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions

- In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Gradually mix in half the flour mixture, alternating with half the milk.
- In another bowl, combine chopped apples with light brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour half of the batter into the pan and swirl in half of the apple mixture.
- Pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the apple mixture.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle on top, and bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool for 15-20 minutes, then prepare the glaze and drizzle over the bread before slicing.
Notes
For extra sweetness, consider a cream cheese frosting instead of the glaze. Use room temperature ingredients for the best results.
