Description

Delightful, easy-to-make bars that capture the warm, gooey essence of cinnamon rolls without the fuss of rolling dough.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for icing)
  • Optional: Chopped nuts or raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine with dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and optionally sprinkle nuts or raisins on top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. Mix powdered sugar and milk for icing, then drizzle over cooled bars.

Notes

For gluten-free bars, substitute all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free blend. To make vegan, use flax eggs and a dairy-free butter alternative.
