- 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar until smooth.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the dish, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, use coconut oil or vegan butter. Feel free to add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
